Kathy Locke joined the board of PAMDA this year as the secretary.  Kathy moved to Penticton four years ago from Edmonton where she retired from the federal government after 22 years.  Once Kathy moved to Penticton she looked for opportunities to volunteer and became involved in several different organizations including Village by the Station doing pet therapy visits with alzheimer's residents, helping with meals at the Soupateria, and delivering meals to homeless residents of Penticton through Blue Anchor and Keep the Cold Off Penticton.  Kathy is also a  member of 100 Women Who Care in Penticton.  Kathy has been involved for a number of years as a volunteer with Habitat for Humanity and has done several international builds in countries like Costa Rica, Honduras, Guatemala, Vietnam and others.  With the onset of COVID, those builds were put on hold so Kathy looked for alternative opportunities to keep busy and contribute to the community.  Kathy enrolled in music lessons at PAMDA and was immediately convinced of the value of the organization to the community.  When the opportunity came up to become involved, Kathy was excited to participate.
