Selwyn Redivo played popular music in his teens, touring with the rock and roll band Great Canadian River Race. He later studied classical guitar at the Conservatory of Nice, France, and took part in many Master Classes with teachers such as Oscar Ghiglia, Alexandre Lagoya, and Leo Brouwer.

He was a First prize winner at Pacifete ’83, played in the B.C. Pavilion at Expo ’86 and composed/recorded the soundtrack for the Flickers Media Productions film, Visual Journeys.

Besides performing concerts and private functions throughout the Valley, Selwyn has appeared as guitar soloist with the Sinfonia Strings under the direction of Leonard Camplin. He also performed with Masterworks Ensemble, which played several concert series in the Okanagan Valley. In 1998, Selwyn became a founding member of Wind in the Woods.

Selwyn loves teaching enthusiastic and dedicated classical guitar students. Beginner students are welcome, but commitment to learning is expected.
