Vocal Coach and Ukulele Instructor
Yanti.jpg

Yanti received her Bachelor of Arts & Psychology from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas, on a music scholarship.

Since then, she has performed locally in many different combos and venues, from jazz standards to rock ballads. As a featured vocalist for hire with a diverse range of vocal talents, Yanti performs with local jazz band Sax Among Friends, The Justin Glibbery Quintet and  Crawford & Crossley Quartet.

In addition to performing, Yanti is also a passionate voice and ukulele instructor and is a regular guest ukulele instructor at elementary schools throughout the South Okanagan.

She’s a graduate of the Community Choir Leadership Training program offered by the Ubuntu Choir Network, which is the training behind her very popular SongCatching sessions. In these informal singing circles, Yanti helps participants quickly learn and sing acapella harmonies.

Outside of music, Yanti is passionate about community activities and is an active volunteer and advocate for the Naramata Clothing Library.

Yanti is very excited to be teaching at PAMDA and helping students learn how to express themselves through music.
