An Invitation to Spend the Day with 2 Canadian Composers

Here's a lovely invitation from the South Okanagan Branch of the BC Registered Music Teachers' Association (BCRMTA):

"We are hosting Composers Christopher Norton and Wendy Edwards Beardall-Norton in Penticton. They are doing some workshops and Masterclasses for us music educators and our students on April 23, and would like to invite you to join us."

Christopher Norton: Composer, arranger, and teacher, Christopher Norton is universally regarded as the leader in his field. Born in 1953, he is a New Zealand-born, now Canadian-based composer.

His long and fruitful association with Boosey & Hawkes has resulted in the world-famous Microjazz series, the Preludes for piano, 2 Concert Collections for piano and, with his wife Wendy, 30 Micromusicals.

Wendy Edwards Beardall-Norton: Canadian Composer born in Toronto, Ontario, and raised in Hamilton. Wendy had her first piano lessons at the age of 5 in Orillia, where she spent every summer during her childhood. Her teacher was Percival Horn.

Together Christopher and Wendy have created, developed and taught their Micromusicals program in many parts of the world. They are contracted by several schools in London, UK, to teach Micromusicals on a thrice-yearly basis, which takes them back to the UK regularly.
