After a year of scales, bow grips, and brave first notes, we are ready to hear the music our students have worked so hard to master. On Sunday, June 1, 2025, at the Jim Pattison Centre for Excellence at Okanagan College, PAMDA debuts Spotlight Sessions, a day-long recital series that invites listeners to pop-in, discover, and celebrate.

Unlike a single marathon concert, Spotlight Sessions consists of eight shorter sets. Each one spotlights a different slice of our community—intermediate adult guitarists, youth violinists, drummers, and seasoned string players.
Listen With Heart
Every performer you’ll see has conquered nerves and stubborn passages to get here. In solos, watch for subtle phrasing and newfound confidence; in ensembles, notice how players count and cue one another. During the scholarship segment, listen for technical polish—these students are auditioning for funds that will support next year’s studies.
Fuel Up, Cheer On
At 5 (ish), we’ll break for refreshments—an ideal time to mingle with friends, snap photos, and recharge for the finales.
Whether you stay for one set or all eight, your support is a gift. We hope to see you there, listening with heart.
