Celebrating Festival Success

Congratulations to all of our students who participated in this year’s Penticton Kiwanis Music Festival, including performers featured in the Festival’s 100th Annual Highlights Gala: the Fiddle & Fun group, Hadley Borchert and David Donegan in Speech Arts, and violinist Olivia Winter.


Our students received numerous medals, scholarships, trophies, and adjudicator awards across Strings and Speech Arts categories.


Strings Highlights

  • Kacey Hurford received Top Mark, All Ages in both the Canadian and Classical categories.

  • David Donegan and Emma Enns tied for Top Mark, All Ages in the Romantic category.

  • Emma Enns and David Donegan received the PKMF String Trophy for String Solo, Grades 1–V.

  • Olivia Winters, Eden Amellal, and Emma Enns received Adjudicator Choice Awards.

Speech Arts Highlights

  • Hadley Borchert received the Junior Scholarship and the Nina Grigor Trophy for Poetry Solo.

  • Awards were also presented to Zoe Behardien (Drama), Lucy Lai (Mime), Hadley Borchert (Poetry and Public Speaking/Storytelling), and David Donegan (Concert Group).

  • Leif Abraham and Lucy Lai received Adjudicator Choice Awards.

We are all so proud of the hard work, creativity, and dedication shown by all of our students throughout the festival season.
