Violin, fiddle, banjo, and guitar students: If you're interested in learning a bit about the bluegrass genre, check out the Summerland Bluegrass Festival July 5-7 for for a weekend of bluegrass and old-time country music. There will be some jamming, workshops, local entertainment, open mic, band scramble, booths, concessions, raffles, and much more.
The Summerland Bluegrass Festival is operated by The Summerland Bluegrass Society, who are dedicated to the preservation and promotion of Bluegrass and Old Time Country music and to provide an atmosphere of harmony and acceptance at all levels of playing, within the Bluegrass Circle.
The Summerland Bluegrass Society aims to create a bluegrass community where singers and musicians, young and old, may come together to play, sing and exchange knowledge.Â
