Dr. Norman Looney was the Principal Research Scientist at Pacific Agri-Food Research Centre in Summerland. He was also a musician and, in 2014, he joined our board of directors. Before he died in 2016, one of Norm's last wishes was to show gratitude for the role that music had in shaping his life, leading to the creation of the Norm Looney Scholarship.
And once again, we are proud to host the annual Norm Looney Scholarship Competition. This event aims to recognize the accomplishments of our talented students and offers them recognition for their hard work.
