PAMDA is now accepting applications for the fall semester of its two programs for musical theatre lovers ages 8-12 and 13-18. Classes will be held in person on Mondays beginning October 4 through June 13. And this year, the classes will be held at a special location: Cherry Lane Mall.
About the Musical Theatre Program
Instructor Melanie Konynenberg will lead the students in singing and acting, while enhancing and strengthening their artistic skills.
The dynamic group class brings vocal delivery, dramatic arts, and creative movement to the next level. Exploring classic and modern musical theatre repertoire, the voice portion of the class focuses on part-
singing, developing proper vocal technique, vocal range development, dramatic development, group awareness, and stage movement. In the acting portion, students explore their dramatic sides through the use of drama games, improvisation, monologues, dialogues, and mini plays.
The program culminates in a special public presentation created by students and staff to be performed live for friends, family, and the public.
