Elaina Deglow

Elaina has been a local piano instructor for the past 38 years. She began her studies with Irene

Thompson and later Janet Webb, both of whom inspired her to enter a career of teaching.

Throughout this time, Elaina has also served as a local Royal Conservatory representative,

volunteered her time with the Penticton Kiwanis Music Festival, and assisted as accompanist for

vocal competitions and local school choirs.

Elaina has completed studies up to Royal Conservatory of Music Grade 9 repertoire and theory.

Along with pursuing her passion for music, she also completed a Bachelor of Commerce degree

through Thompson Rivers University in 2011.

Students of all ages are welcome! Elaina has taught students from as young as 4 to 84 years! Her

specialty is beginner to Grade 7 at which time students that have a desire to complete senior levels

of study would advance to a senior teacher.

Elaina strives to make lessons fun and engaging with learning games and teaching tools that she has

gathered over her many years in the field. Patience, caring, and encouragement are of utmost

importance to foster the same love of music that Elaina has been blessed to experience.
